Safety Information

At NUDL Helmets, your safety is our top priority. Our helmets are designed and rigorously tested to meet the highest safety standards, offering reliable protection during every adventure. Please review the following safety information to ensure you are using your helmet correctly and maximizing its protective benefits.

Helmet Fit and Adjustment

For maximum protection, it’s essential that your NUDL helmet fits properly. Follow these guidelines:

  1. Size: Use the sizing chart on our product pages to select the appropriate helmet size. A snug fit ensures better protection.
  2. Positioning: The helmet should sit level on your head, covering the forehead without tilting backward or forward.
  3. Straps: Adjust the chin strap so it is secure but comfortable. There should be just enough room to fit one or two fingers between the strap and your chin.

Inspection Before Use

Before each use, inspect your helmet for any signs of damage or wear, including:

  • Cracks or dents in the shell
  • Fraying straps or buckles that no longer secure properly
  • Inner foam that appears compressed or damaged

If you notice any of these issues, discontinue use immediately and contact NUDL Helmets for advice on repairs or replacements.

When to Replace Your Helmet

Helmets are designed to absorb the impact of one significant crash or accident. After any serious impact, even if no damage is visible, the helmet’s protective integrity may be compromised. Replace your helmet if:

  • It has been involved in an accident.
  • It shows signs of deterioration.
  • It is more than 3–5 years old (helmets degrade over time even without an accident).

Proper Helmet Use

  • Always wear your helmet while riding, skating, or participating in activities where head injuries are a risk.
  • Ensure the helmet is securely fastened and positioned correctly at all times.
  • Avoid exposing your helmet to extreme temperatures or leaving it in direct sunlight for extended periods, as this may weaken the materials.

Safety Certifications

NUDL Helmets meet or exceed industry-standard safety certifications, including:

  • CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission): Certified for impact resistance and protective standards in cycling.
  • ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials): Meeting global standards for various sport-related helmets.
  • CE EN1078: Compliant with European helmet safety standards for biking and skateboarding.

Important Safety Reminder

Helmets are a critical part of injury prevention, but they cannot prevent all accidents or injuries. Wearing a helmet does not substitute for safe riding practices. Always ride responsibly, follow traffic rules, and remain aware of your surroundings.
